Baby Weighing Clinic at WRHC
Run by our Health Visitors in a room just off the waiting room, please feel free to ask our receptionist to direct you if you are not sure. This is open from 9.30am to 11.00am. Please note the last baby weighing time will be 10.45am.
We undertake all primary immunisations of children ourselves and operate a recall system. The practice was one of the first in Derbyshire to introduce regular child development clinics and has been involved since 1971. Clinics are held in conjunction with our attached health visitors and a recall system operates for these clinics as well.
Our counsellor is available to help with emotional and stress related difficulties. Referrals are made following preliminary assessment by your doctor. This can also be done through self referral. Please ask our reception staff for details if you wish to self refer.
Sexual Health Clinic
The practice provides a full family planning service by appointment. This includes coil and implant fittings and removals as well as"emergency" contraception. Emergency contraception is a valid reason to ask for an urgent appointment.
There is a local Sexual Health Clinic, which can be contacted by telephone on 0800 328 3383 to arrange an appointment. The Sexual Health Clinic is NO longer held at the practice on a Saturday morning.
The partners undertake various injection of joints, cautery, etc. Patients should make an appointment to discuss any minor operations.
Podiatry is located at Welbeck Road Health Centre (01246 823146)
We will attempt to fit these in at a convenient time at Bolsover Surgery. Please bring any forms to reception when you book your medical. A deposit is payable on booking.
Although the practice does not wish to promote private medical treatment, if you do have private medical insurance cover, it may be helpful in certain circumstances to tell the doctor.
