HERE SMS TEXT MESSAGING SERVICE
We now offer a new text messaging service to all our patients.
Opting in to this service will allow you to receive:
- Appointment reminders- for pre-booked appointments
- Review reminders - if you have a long-term condition such as Diabetes, Asthma, Heart problems, high blood pressure etc we will invite you to attend the surgery for a review.
If you would like to opt into this service please ask at reception for a consent form
or download one
here and return it to the practice with your correct mobile phone number.
It is important to keep your contact details up to date, please inform the surgery should any of your details change.
MINOR INJURIES SERVICE
Did you know that we now provide a minor injury service?
We can deal with less serious injuries such as deep cuts, severe sprains, minor head injuries, Minor burns and scalds, animal bites amongst other injuries.
Many people go to accident and emergency at hospital for these complaints but it can be faster and more appropriate to be seen here. Accident and emergency staff must give priority to serious life threatening conditions, so if you go there with a minor injury you may have to wait a long time to be seen.
Therefore, call us or pop in when you are injured and we will let you know if we can deal with it here at the health centre.
We DO NOT have x-ray Facilities but can assess your injury and refer you if necessary.
APPOINTMENTS SYSTEM
Following feedback from our recent patient survey and government
initiatives, we are rationalising our appointments system. This
makes it easier to book appointments ahead at times to suit
patients. However, for urgent appointments on the day, all requests
must be made by telephone. This means that (with your co-operation)
all these requests can be managed on the day.
We hope that this will do away with “the scrum” at our front door
each morning.
In order to further improve the availability of appointments, we
have increased the number of appointments that can be booked in
advance.
The booking of appointments in advance can still be made in person
at the desk.
Please note that URGENT same day appointments are no longer be
available by turning up at Reception. All requests for these
appointments should be made by telephone.
STAFF TRAINING (QUEST) DATES
Weds 29th June - the Bolsover surgery will be closed from 1.30pm
Weds 7th September - the Bolsover surgery will be closed from 1.30pm
Weds 12th October - the Bolsover surgery will be closed from 1.30pm
Weds 23rd November - the Bolsover surgery will be closed from 1.30pm
