EXTENDED OPENING HOURS

As of 1st April 2008, we have extended our opening hours to 8.00am – 6.30pm, Monday to Friday at our Bolsover Surgery.

As of Tuesday 10th of June 2008 the Bolsover surgery will be running 2 evening surgeries. These will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8pm. These sessions will be for patients with pre-booked appointments only. This development is a result of input from our Patient Participation Group and also government initiatives. The intention is to improve access for those patients who either work away or for other reasons, have difficulty attending during the day. It would be appreciated if those of you who can make normal day time appointments continue to do so.

During the late opening times, the surgery will be closed and access for those patients who have an appointment will be via an intercom unit situated by the main external doors. All other enquiries or queries should be dealt with during normal surgery opening hours (8am – 6.30pm).

APPOINTMENTS SYSTEM

Following feedback from our recent patient survey and government initiatives, we are rationalising our appointments system. This makes it easier to book appointments ahead at times to suit patients. However, for urgent appointments on the day, all requests must be made by telephone. This means that (with your co-operation) all these requests can be managed on the day. We hope that this will do away with “the scrum” at our front door each morning.

In order to further improve the availability of appointments, we have increased the number of appointments that can be booked in advance.

The booking of appointments in advance can still be made in person at the desk.

Please note that URGENT same day appointments are no longer be available by turning up at Reception. All requests for these appointments should be made by telephone.
